Power boating between Kingston and Prescott, the 1000 Islands Poker run is the largest international poker run with more than 50,000 spectators and attracting performance boaters from all over the United States and Canada.
The concept of the race is for the boats to navigate the charted course, stopping at five checkpoints along the route. At each checkpoint, they pick up a sealed envelope containing a single playing card. At the final checkpoint, the envelopes are opened and the crew holding the best poker hand is declared the winner!
